After watching Staka117's videos on YouTube, I wanted to play it so much that I decided to try making my own. With the objective of having somewhat believable physics, while making it relatively easy to drift faster than grip driving, I managed to make a basic, but playable build back in September 2020. Using my free time over the next 4 months, with tonnes of help from @Auranapse, it expanded into what it is today (late January, 2021).

This game is targeted at gamers who grew up with all sorts of driving games, with inspiration from games like Forza, Gran Turismo, old NFS games and of course, Initial D. However, we have decided to go for a more simulation approach, as an Initial D game like that does not exist. Most car systems are simulated, albeit with grossly simplified models. Examples of such systems are twin turbos (spooling separately), limited-slip differentials, ATTESA (GTR), anti-lag, anti-roll bars and much more. A unique game mode, "Cat and Mouse", is also made for multiplayer, where a driver has to keep up or overtake the driver in front.

More content and features are planned to be added to the game, but I am not a 3D modeler. 3D models are exported from Assetto Corsa mods, hence content is restricted to unencrypted content (please keep this in mind for suggestions). Announcements for upcoming content will be made in the "Announcements" channel, but note that as both developers are full-time university students, development pace will vary greatly.
